Wondering whether a photo in your feed was actually taken by a camera? AI Image Checker adds a small badge to images as you hover them. Click it and you get an AI-likelihood verdict on the same page, in a card that appears in the margin beside the image. No new tab opens, nothing navigates away, and you never lose your place in the feed. HOW IT WORKS 1. Hover any image. A "Check for AI image" badge appears in the corner. 2. Click it. The image is sent for analysis in the background. 3. A result card appears beside the image with the verdict, the AI-likelihood percentage, and the classification. Results are cached for 24 hours, so re-checking the same image is instant. WHERE IT WORKS Any website with images. It handles the transparent overlays that Instagram, Pinterest, X/Twitter and Google Images place over their thumbnails, which is where simpler hover extensions stop working. SETTINGS - Card position — beside the image (default) or on top of it - Minimum image size — skip icons, avatars and small UI graphics - Hover badge — turn the badge off entirely and leave the extension idle - Run log — a step-by-step trace of the last check, for troubleshooting WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW The analysis is performed by ZeroGPT's AI image detector API. When you click the badge, that one image is sent to their service. Nothing else on the page is read or transmitted, and no account or sign-in is required. Detection is probabilistic. It returns a likelihood, not proof, and it can be wrong in both directions — confident-looking scores on real photos, and low scores on generated ones.
