AI Filter for Canva
Overview
Badges, blurs or hides AI-generated stock from Canva's AI Elements Lab while you browse canva.com. Runs fully locally.
AI Filter for Canva does one thing: it helps you spot, and optionally filter out, the AI-generated stock items that Canva publishes under its "AI Elements Lab" creator while you search for photos, graphics and elements on canva.com. How it works • As you search on canva.com, the extension reads the search results Canva already sends to your browser (read-only, never modified). • Items published by Canva's AI Elements Lab creator are recognized by their creator ID. • Matching thumbnails get a purple "AI" badge, or are blurred (click to reveal) or hidden, depending on the mode you choose. Features • Three modes: Badge, Blur, Hide • On/off switch and a count of AI items on the current page • Optional debug mode that logs only the IDs of flagged items to the console Privacy • Everything runs locally in your browser. The extension makes no network requests of its own. • No data is collected, sold or transmitted. Settings and the list of flagged item IDs are stored only in your browser via chrome.storage. • No remote code, no analytics, no account required. Limitations • Detects only items Canva itself attributes to its AI Elements Lab creator. AI-generated work uploaded by other creators is not labelled by Canva and is not detected. AI Filter for Canva is an independent project. Not affiliated with or endorsed by Canva. "Canva" is a trademark of Canva Pty Ltd, used here only to describe compatibility.
