AI Content Detector
Overview
Detects explicitly AI-labeled content on web pages with high accuracy and minimal performance impact.
AI Content Detector helps you identify web content that has been explicitly labeled as AI-generated. As AI-written content becomes increasingly common online, this extension gives you a clear visual signal when a page contains text that openly declares itself as machine-generated. HOW IT WORKS The extension scans page text for explicit AI-disclosure patterns — phrases like "generated by AI", "written with ChatGPT", "as an AI assistant", and similar declarations. When found, the content is highlighted with a subtle amber border so you can spot it at a glance. KEY FEATURES - Automatic page scanning — detects AI-labeled content as soon as the page loads - Dynamic content support — catches AI disclosures in content loaded after page load (social feeds, comment sections, live chat) - One-click dismiss — mark a detection as reviewed and it won't appear again - On/off toggle — disable detection on any page with a single click - Minimal performance impact — uses a single compiled pattern instead of scanning word by word - No data collection — all processing happens locally in your browser; nothing is sent to any server WHAT IT DETECTS This extension identifies content that explicitly self-declares as AI-generated. It is not a general AI writing detector or plagiarism checker — it flags disclosures, not writing style. PRIVACY This extension does not collect, transmit, or store any browsing data. All detection logic runs entirely on your device.
