AI CHAT VAULT BY SI DEVWORKS — AI Chat Saver saves your claude.ai and ChatGPT web chats into the SI Devworks Sync Tool app on your Mac, as clean, readable documents that sit inside your tamper-evident backups. Plans, decisions, code you worked through, the reasoning behind a change: all of it kept, organised and searchable, on your own Mac. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ WHAT IT DOES • Saves every chat as a Markdown document Each chat becomes one readable file: the title, when it started and was last updated, a link back to the original chat, and every message in order, marked as you or the assistant. Markdown opens anywhere: in any text editor, in Notes-style apps, in code editors, or in the Sync Tool's own Library. • Keeps them organised claude.ai chats are filed by project, next to your Claude Code conversation backups. ChatGPT chats sit alongside your Codex backups. Your web chats and your coding-agent sessions end up in one place, per project. • Only saves what changed The extension remembers what it has already saved. Unchanged chats are skipped, so saving stays quick even if you have hundreds of chats. • Saves automatically, or when you ask While claude.ai or ChatGPT is open, it saves in the background: a first pass a few seconds after the page loads, then every 30 minutes. Prefer to do it yourself? Switch automatic saving off in the popup and press Save Now whenever you like. • Shows you what happened The popup shows each site with when it last saved, how many chats were saved or skipped, and any problem in plain words. "Show in Finder" opens the folder where the documents are. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ WHY IT'S WORTH HAVING Chats disappear into long sidebars, get renamed, or are lost when an account changes. Once they're saved by the Sync Tool they become part of your backups: • Sealed against tampering: every backup the Mac app makes is sealed with a key held in your Mac's Secure Enclave. If a saved backup is ever changed afterwards, the app raises an alarm and shows exactly what changed. • A timeline of every save: open any backup in the app's Library, compare versions side by side and see what changed between them. • Readable and searchable: browse the saved chats in the Library, read them rendered, export them to PDF as well as other popular formats, and ask AI questions about the one you're reading (Sync Pro+). • Weekly summaries: the app can write a weekly digest of each project's conversations: what was done, what's outstanding and where things stand (Sync Pro+). ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ LOOKS LIKE THE APP The popup mirrors the Sync Tool's menu-bar window, so it feels like one product: • Follows the theme you chose in the app: Serenity (dark), White Gloss (light), Translucent (glass), or Automatic to match your Mac's light or dark mode. • Wears your plan's look: Sync Pro in Sapphire (or Noir Platinum with Serenity), Sync Pro+ in Aurora (or Noir Gold with Serenity, with drifting gold dust), and the same animated liquid progress the app uses. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ PRIVATE BY DESIGN • Your chats go straight from your browser to the SI Devworks Sync Tool app on your own Mac, using Chrome's native messaging. They are never sent to SI Devworks or to anyone else. • Only your own chats, on claude.ai and chatgpt.com, are read, and only to save them. The extension doesn't read other websites. • No tracking, no analytics and no ads. Nothing is sold or shared. • Everything the extension runs is included in the extension itself; no code is loaded from the internet. Permissions, and why: • Access to claude.ai and chatgpt.com: to read your own chats so they can be saved. • Native messaging: to hand each chat to the Sync Tool app on your Mac, which writes it to disk. • Storage: to remember which chats are already saved and your automatic-saving setting. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ WHAT YOU NEED • A Mac with macOS 14 or later and the SI Devworks Sync Tool app from sidevworks.com/sync (free download). The Mac App Store edition can't connect to browser extensions, so use the website version. • Sync Pro+, with the matching add-on switched on in the app: Claude Code conversations for claude.ai chats, Codex conversations for ChatGPT chats (Settings › Add-ons & AI). • Google Chrome 116 or later on the same Mac. Setup takes a minute: install the app, turn on the add-on, add this extension, then open claude.ai or ChatGPT.
