Ai-Chat Thread Manager is a lightweight continuity workspace for long-running AI conversations across ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini. It helps you keep track of where each conversation stands, where you stopped, and what you need to do next without repeatedly rereading long threads. KEY FEATURES • Thread Status Track each conversation using five clear workflow states: Not Started, In Progress, Waiting, Needs Review and Done. • Checkpoint Record the last validated point or where you stopped working. • Next Action Save one concrete action so you can resume the conversation quickly. • Thread Insights View locally observed statistics from the currently rendered conversation, including message counts, words, characters and estimated visible tokens. • Context Health Receive an advisory Visible estimate showing whether the rendered conversation is Healthy, Growing, High or Critical. Context Health is not a measurement of the AI model's actual context window. Hidden system instructions, provider-side summaries and non-rendered content are not available to the extension. • Unified Thread Work Queue Manage tracked conversations across ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini from one workspace using Kanban or List views. Search, filter and sort threads by provider, status, metadata inactivity and other supported criteria. • Multiple Workspace Modes Use Ai-Chat Thread Manager as: - a Floating Panel inside the supported AI conversation - a Docked Sidebar - an independent Pop-out Window that can be moved to another monitor • Archive and Restore Temporarily remove inactive threads from the active work queue without deleting the underlying AI conversation. • Markdown Export Export the currently rendered conversation to a local Markdown file. • Copy Handoff Generate a deterministic local continuation brief containing your thread metadata, observed statistics and recent visible messages. No external AI request is required to create the handoff. • JSON Backup and Import Back up and restore Ai-Chat Thread Manager metadata using validated JSON files. PRIVACY AND STORAGE Ai-Chat Thread Manager is local-first. Thread metadata is stored in browser extension storage. Local-only storage is the default. Browser sync is optional and is enabled only after explicit user consent. When enabled, it uses the browser's own sync account. Visible conversation content used for Thread Insights, Markdown export and Copy Handoff is processed locally in the browser. Ai-Chat Thread Manager does not operate an external chat-data backend and does not use an advertising or analytics SDK.
