Overview
Debug analytics and marketing pixels in real time with AH Debugger.
We prioritize your privacy - AH Debugger runs entirely in your browser. We don't view, collect, or store any of your debugging data. AH Debugger is a free Chrome extension for analytics engineers, developers, and QA teams who need clear visibility into their tracking implementation, in real time. CORE DEBUGGING TOOLS 1. Dedicated DevTools Panel Open the AH Debugger panel directly in Chrome DevTools for deep session debugging. - Full request table with vendor, event name, account ID, timestamp, status, and error indicators - Global search across every request and every parameter - find where transaction_id is missing or where currency is undefined in one search - Local search inside a single request, filtered by keys or values - Switch between Grouped, Flattened, and Raw views - Page separators for full page loads and single-page app route changes, so every hit sits under the page that sent it - Batched GA4 requests split into individual events, with a "Highlight batch" button to see which events were sent together - Optional dataLayer pushes shown between the requests (off by default) - Full request inspection: URL, query parameters, POST body, HTTP status, redirects, and response headers 2. Console Integration Styled console logs for every dataLayer.push() and every analytics network request, directly in your browser console. Each log shows the vendor badge, event name, account ID, URL parameters. Batched requests show their batch ID. Errors appear with a red badge and status code. 3. Redirects See every redirect between the URL you entered and the page you're on: server redirects, browser upgrades, and client-side redirects, with status codes and utms lost during the redirects. ANALYTICS-SPECIFIC TOOLS 4. DataLayer Viewer & Simulator - Detects GTM containers and Google tags on the page, including multiple containers and non-standard dataLayer names - Rescan at any time to pick up containers that load later, for example after cookie consent or a user action - Captures every dataLayer.push() in real time with timestamp and push count - Push synthetic events directly to the dataLayer without touching your codebase - test how your tags respond before deploying any code 5. Built-in Checks Automated GA4 validation runs on every hit with no setup required. - Consent Mode signal presence - Measurement ID format validation - Ecommerce events missing an items array - Purchase events missing transaction_id, value, or currency 6. Consent Mode Checker Dedicated audit view for Google Consent Mode. - State of analytics_storage, ad_storage, ad_user_data, ad_personalization, and the other consent signals - Consent commands and events found in the dataLayer - Bing UET and other vendors consent state - Auto Audit: opens AssertionHub's free online Consent Mode audit for the current page in a new tab BROWSER & SESSION TOOLS 7. Browser Storage Manager Read and edit what's stored in the browser without opening the DevTools Application panel. - Inspect and manage Cookies, LocalStorage, and SessionStorage in one place - Add, edit, delete, or clear storage, with an optional page refresh - Search across all stored items by key or value 8. Vault A notes system built directly into the extension for capturing findings as you debug. - Notes organized by site hostname and page URL - Add tags, titles, body text, and URL references - Export your vault as JSON and import it on another machine or share it with a colleague 9. Custom Mappings Define custom aliases for vendor parameter names so the debugger displays your team's internal naming conventions instead of raw parameter keys. - Quick-add mappings straight from the DevTools panel - Site-specific configurations - Shareable as JSON files PLATFORM COVERAGE Supports analytics and marketing pixel requests and dataLayer pushes. See the full list of supported platforms at assertionhub.com/debugger. YOUR DATA All processing happens locally in your browser. Notes, mappings, and settings are saved in Chrome's extension storage. Nothing is sent to us. The only exception is Auto Audit, which you start yourself: it opens AssertionHub's website with the page URL you choose to start a consent mode automated test.
