Press Alt+T (or click the Koma icon), mark the part of the page you want to understand and read the translation in a panel next to it. It works on manga pages, comic panels, screenshots and images you find on social media. HOW IT WORKS • Manga and comics: mark one or more speech bubbles, or the whole page. Koma reads the text in the image and translates it panel by panel, in the reading direction (right to left for manga, left to right for comics and manhwa; change it in the popup). Numbers on the page tell which translation is which bubble. If one lands in the wrong place, drag it where it belongs. • Web novels: select the text before pressing Alt+T and it is translated directly, paragraph by paragraph. It is faster and more accurate. • Also from the right-click menu: "Translate an area with Koma". MADE FOR READING • 18 languages: Spanish (Latin America and Spain), English, Portuguese, French, Italian, German, Japanese, Korean, Chinese, Russian, Indonesian, Vietnamese, Thai, Turkish, Polish and Arabic. • Translations that sound natural: they keep each character's tone, Japanese honorifics and sound effects. • Show or hide the original text, and put the panel next to the area or over it. • Copy the whole translation with one click. It is free, works offline and doesn't use up your translations. PRIVACY Koma only acts in the tab where you turn it on, and only when you ask. The marked area or the selected text is sent to our server and to Anthropic's API (Claude) to be translated; Koma doesn't keep it, and counts your daily translations with an anonymous ID. Optional (beta): read the area on your device and send only the text read (the image only if it can't be read well or you ask for it), or translate everything on your device without sending anything.
