Accept: text/markdown Toggle

Toggle Markdown content negotiation for the current tab: switch the Accept header between the browser default and text/markdown.

Toggle Markdown content negotiation for any page. Click the toolbar button and the current tab reloads with Accept: text/markdown instead of the browser's default Accept header. Click again to switch back. A green MD badge shows which tabs are toggled on. Sites that support Markdown content negotiation (see acceptmarkdown.com) return a clean Markdown version of the same URL, without navigation, scripts, or layout markup. This extension lets you see that representation directly in the browser, which is useful for checking that your own site serves it correctly, or for reading a page the way an AI agent would. The toggle is per tab, so one tab does not affect another, and all state clears when Chrome closes. Only the top-level document request is modified. No data is collected. Nothing is sent anywhere.
