Overview

Insert LRScribe session sections into eClinicalWorks.

LRScribe for eCW lets clinicians move their LRScribe documentation into eClinicalWorks (eCW) without retyping it. LRScribe turns recorded patient visits into structured clinical notes. This extension opens LRScribe in Chrome's side panel next to the eCW chart. You sign in, pick a session, and send its note sections into the matching eCW fields. THREE WAYS TO INSERT NOTES • Copy: copies a section to the clipboard as plain text, for pasting anywhere. • Place: you pick an eCW field on the page, and the extension writes the selected section into that field. • Fill all (for authorized users): writes every mapped section into its eCW field in one step, after you preview them. Field mappings can be saved per template and eCW screen, for yourself or shared with your workspace. PATIENT SAFETY CHECK Before writing into the chart, the extension compares the patient name and date of birth on the LRScribe session with the patient banner in eCW. If they don't match, it refuses to write. If eCW shows no banner, you must confirm the patient yourself before anything is inserted. PERMISSIONS AND PRIVACY • At install, the extension can reach only the LRScribe service. It gets no access to other websites. • eCW is hosted at a different web address for each practice. The first time you use the extension on your eCW page, it asks permission for that one site only. Clinics that manage Chrome centrally can pre-approve their eCW address. • Note text goes to the eCW page only when you take an action (Copy, Place, or Fill all). • For audit purposes, LRScribe records that an insertion happened: the mode, the section names, and whether it succeeded. It stores only a hash and character count of the inserted text, never the text itself or patient identifiers. • Sign-in tokens are kept only for the current browser session and are cleared when Chrome closes. • All extension code ships inside the package. Nothing is loaded from remote servers. ACCESSIBILITY Choosing fields works fully from the keyboard, and status messages are announced to screen readers. REQUIREMENTS An LRScribe account and access to an eClinicalWorks instance. Fill all must be enabled for your account by a workspace administrator.
