Subreveal – Add subtitles to any video, movie, or series Watching a video that has no subtitles? Subreveal puts them on. It works on almost every HTML5 player (Netflix , YouTube , Prime Video , any online streaming site , etc), embedded player, and local video too. on other sites, cloud-storage platform previews, and even video files you open straight from your computer. Load a subtitle file you already have, or search for one online, and it appears right on top of the video — styled the way you like, in sync, and in fullscreen too. No account. No sign-up. No ads. Everything runs in your browser. WHAT YOU CAN DO • Up to 3 subtitle tracks at once — perfect for language learning (original + translation) or watching with someone who needs a different language. • Built-in subtitle search — find subtitles for movies and TV shows from OpenSubtitles and SUBDL without leaving the page. Type a title, pick the movie or the exact season and episode, choose a language, click Load. • Load your own files — SRT, WebVTT, ASS/SSA and SAMI, plus ZIP and RAR archives. Drop a season pack in and Subreveal picks the right episode. • Make it look your way — font, size, colour, background box and opacity, text outline, bold/italic, custom fonts (upload your own TTF/OTF/WOFF), and a 9-position grid so subtitles sit exactly where you want. Each track can have its own style and position. • Fix the timing — nudge subtitles earlier or later in 0.1 s or 1 s steps until they match the audio, with a live cue preview. • Works in fullscreen — subtitles stay on screen when you go fullscreen, on any player. • In-player controls — a small SUB button appears in the video's control bar. Click it to load a file, change size, colour, position or timing without leaving the video. • Export — save your subtitles (with any timing fix baked in) as SRT or VTT to use anywhere. • Recent & Bookmarks — subtitles you've loaded are kept for quick reloading; bookmark the ones you use often. • Playback speed control from 0.25× to 3×. • Light and dark theme. • Files in other encodings (UTF-16, Windows-1252) are read correctly, and the file's own colours and styling can be kept or ignored per track. HOW TO USE IT 1. Open any page with a video and start playing it. 2. Click the SUB button that appears in the player's control bar, or click the Subreveal icon in your browser toolbar. 3. Add subtitles: • Load tab — drop a subtitle file (or ZIP/RAR) onto the panel, or click to browse. • Search tab — type the movie or show name, pick it from the suggestions, choose the season/episode for series, set your language, and click Load on a result. 4. Subtitles appear on the video immediately. 5. Out of sync? Open the Sync tab and press −1 s / +1 s (or ±0.1 s) until the words match the speech. 6. Style tab — change font, size, colour, background and position. Tracks 2 and 3 can have their own settings. 7. Export tab — download the subtitle as SRT or VTT. Tip: Everything you set is remembered, so your favourite style is there next time. WHERE IT WORKS It works on every HTML5 player, iframe/embedded player, and local video too. On other sites, cloud-storage platform previews, and even video files you open straight from your computer. (Enable "Allow access to file URLs" in the extension's settings for those. For sites with their own subtitle system (like Netflix or YouTube captions), Subreveal adds its own layer on top — you can use both. PRIVACY Subreveal keeps your settings and your subtitle files on your own computer. The only time anything leaves your browser is when you use the Search tab: your search words are sent to the subtitle providers (OpenSubtitles and SUBDL). When Subreveal's daily credits run out, you can put your own API in the info tab - a blank box keeps using the app's key. No analytics, no tracking, no ads, and nothing is ever sold or shared. The online subtitle search runs on a small server that costs money to keep going. If Subreveal saves your movie night, a coffee-sized donation helps keep the search service running and pays for new features — the ☕ Donate button is in the top of the extension panel, and donations go through PayPal (any amount).
