Overview
Self-custody multi-chain wallet and Estate Guardian: web3 on 182 chains, proof-of-life monitoring, and one-click estate check-ins.
HEIR is a self-custody crypto wallet that is also your inheritance guardian. NEW IN THIS VERSION - Optional digital hygiene (off by default). If an estate this wallet owns becomes claimable and proof of life stays silent for 24 hours of calendar time, HEIR can delete this Chrome profile’s browsing history. Passwords, cookies, and saved logins are not touched. A closed laptop waits until Chrome is opened and online. Not a factory reset. Turn it on in Options → Digital hygiene. WALLET - Create or import a wallet from a BIP-39 recovery phrase. Your keys are generated in your browser and encrypted on your device with AES-256-GCM under a PBKDF2-SHA-256 key (600,000 iterations). HEIR's servers never receive your recovery phrase or private keys. - Connect to dapps like any wallet: HEIR announces a standard Ethereum provider (EIP-1193 / EIP-6963) and a Solana Wallet Standard provider, so it appears in connect dialogs automatically without fighting other wallets. - 182 EVM chains with automatic RPC failover — when an endpoint is unreachable the next one is tried, so there is no manual RPC setup for the networks HEIR already knows. - Send and receive the native coin and ERC-20 tokens, and add any token by address. Your Solana accounts are derived from the same recovery phrase and can sign and send through connected dapps. - Review every signature and transaction before you approve it, and manage which sites are connected. - Export your recovery phrase, root extended private key (xprv) and per-account private keys whenever you want, to import into another wallet. You are never locked in. ESTATE GUARDIAN - One-click check-in: if you have deployed an on-chain inheritance estate with HEIR, the wallet resets its dead-man's-switch timer and shows a countdown to your next deadline. The reset is a real on-chain transaction that you approve. - Deadline reminders: notifications as a check-in deadline approaches, so a missed deadline is a decision rather than an accident. - Inheritance view: see the estates you are named a beneficiary of, and claim on-chain once a claim becomes available. - Activity signal: HEIR can record that your extension is active to your HEIR account. This is activity telemetry — on its own it does not prove you are alive, and no inheritance decision is made from it. SECURITY - Self-custody: no HEIR-held key can decrypt your secrets. - The wallet locks when you restart your browser, and again after a period of inactivity (30 minutes by default, configurable). - Per-site permissions, and blind signing is refused — eth_sign and eth_signTransaction are rejected outright, so you are never asked to approve an opaque payload. - No remotely hosted code. Everything runs from the reviewed package. HEIR is free to install. The wallet works on its own; an optional HEIR account connects the Estate Guardian features to your estate plan. Not legal or financial advice.
