Each size, from 1×1 to 6×6, has its own layout. A small widget stays focused and simple. There is no sign-in, and there is no HearthUI server storing your information. Your notes, bookmarks, settings and layouts stay in your browser's storage on your device. Saved clock themes, and sync when you turn it on, use Chrome's own extension sync storage, so they follow your signed-in Chrome profile. 🔑 Permissions HearthUI's core permissions cover: - Local data and settings - Weather location - Website icons used in the Dock, App Grid and desktop - Searching with the search engine you already chose in Chrome Weather uses your precise location only after you allow it. Until then, it estimates your city from your IP address through the BigDataCloud service, and you can always pick a city yourself. Forecasts come from Open-Meteo. These permissions are optional and requested only when you use the feature: - tabs and scripting - Media widget playback controls: find the tab that is playing and send play, pause or skip - bookmarks and topSites - import your Chrome bookmarks into the App Grid and suggest sites when you add a shortcut If you do not use these features, these permissions are never requested. 🚫 HearthUI does not use remote code.
