Aether Browser Bridge is a lightweight, token-efficient browser automation extension for AI agents and LLM harnesses, built on the Model Context Protocol (MCP). Unlike traditional headless browser tools and raw Chrome DevTools Protocol (CDP) wrappers that dump 50,000–100,000+ tokens of raw HTML into context, Aether serializes active web pages into compact, numbered Markdown action maps (typically under 1,000 tokens) and dispatches precise synthetic user interactions. Key Features: • Token-Pruned DOM Serialization: Strips scripts, styles, SVGs, and invisible elements. Every actionable element (links, buttons, inputs, dropdowns) is assigned a clean numeric anchor ([1], [2], [3]) for token-efficient model interaction. • Active Session Continuity: Operates directly inside your everyday Chrome profile, allowing AI agents to work within existing logins and authenticated sessions without re-authenticating. • Non-Destructive Tab Grouping: Agent-directed browsing automatically runs inside a dedicated "⚡ Aether Agent" Chrome Tab Group so your personal active tabs are never overwritten. • Universal MCP Compatibility: Works seamlessly with Claude Desktop, Cursor IDE, Antigravity, OpenDevin, and custom MCP client harnesses. • Privacy & Local Execution: All communication runs strictly over local IPC (Chrome Native Messaging / localhost WebSocket). No browsing data or telemetry is ever transmitted to external servers.
