AEP Batch Failure Inspector
Overview
One-click inspector for AEP batch failures. Turns Batch IDs into links to instantly fetch and display detailed error reports.
Description Streamline your Adobe Experience Platform (AEP) debugging workflow by fetching, viewing, and understanding batch failure details in a single click, directly from your browser. The Problem Tired of the tedious process of debugging failed data batches in AEP? Manually copying a Batch ID, opening an API tool, generating a temporary access token, and making multiple chained API calls just to view a single error file is a significant drain on your productivity. This extension was built to eliminate the hassle of going two API queries deep just to diagnose an ingestion error. The Solution AEP Batch Failure Inspector transforms this cumbersome process into a seamless, one-click action. The extension automatically detects Batch IDs on AEP pages and turns them into interactive links. Clicking a link instantly authenticates with your provided Client Secret, triggers the necessary two-step API workflow in the background, and displays the detailed error report right in your browser. Key Features: * One-Click Error Fetching: Automatically converts static Batch IDs on AEP pages into clickable links. * Automated Authentication: Securely uses your provided Client Secret to automatically fetch and cache temporary access tokens. No more manual token generation! * Intelligent Summary View: Instead of raw JSON, instantly see a flattened, table-based summary that groups errors by type, shows a count of each error, and displays the specific values that failed validation. * Full Sandbox Support: Configure the extension to work with any AEP sandbox, including production, by simply providing the sandbox name. * Persistent History: Automatically saves a collapsible history of your recent queries, showing the Batch ID and the time the query was run for easy reference. * Convenient Actions: Instantly copy the full raw JSON to your clipboard or download it as a .json file for further analysis. How to Use: 1. Configure: Click the extension icon in your toolbar to open the popup. In the collapsible "API Credentials" section, enter your Sandbox Name, Adobe API Key (Client ID), Client Secret, and IMS Org ID. Your credentials are saved automatically and securely in your browser's local storage. 2. Click: Navigate to any Batch Overview page in the Adobe Experience Platform. The Batch ID will now be a blue, clickable link. Click it to start the query. 3. View: Open the extension popup again. A "Fetching..." status will show while the query runs. Once complete, the result is added to your history list. Expand the item to see the intelligent summary view, or toggle to the raw JSON.
