YouTube practice helper: A/B loop, 0.25–2× speed with pitch kept, metronome & count-in, BPM detection.

Rubato makes practicing music on YouTube easier. Open a video and a control panel appears at the bottom right. ■ A/B loop Press "Set A" and "Set B" to mark the passage you want to drill. Turn on Loop and it plays from A to B again and again. ■ Free speed control From 0.25× to 2× in steps of 0.05, with the original pitch preserved, so slow practice stays in tune. ■ Metronome Set the BPM and time signature (2/4, 3/4, 4/4, 6/4). Beat 1 is at point A, and the first beat of each bar is accented. The clicks follow the video speed. ■ Count-in Before each loop jumps back to A, Rubato plays one bar of clicks and counts down, giving you time to get ready for the next round. ■ Restart button One tap pauses and returns to the start. Tap again to start over, optionally with a count-in first. ■ BPM detection While the video plays, Rubato can analyze the beat for you. You can also tap along to the music, and fix a half or double reading with one click. Songs without a clear beat (ballads, a cappella) may not be detected accurately; use Tap for those. ■ Remembers your settings Each video keeps its own loop range, speed and BPM, so you can pick up where you left off. ■ English and Chinese Switch the panel language with the button in its top-right corner. By default it follows your browser language. Privacy: all settings stay in your browser. Audio analysis happens locally; nothing is recorded, stored or sent anywhere. How to use: click the Rubato icon in the toolbar to show or hide the panel. This extension is independently developed and is not affiliated with YouTube or Google.
