Hook Block
Overview
Block sites, restrict YouTube to playlists, or search in Focus Mode.
Hook Block blocks the sites, feeds and short videos that hook you — and leaves the rest of the web alone. BLOCK ANY SITE Type a site in the popup to block it: permanently, for a few hours, or on a daily schedule. Blocked pages never load; you get a calm block page instead. KILL THE FEED, KEEP THE SITE Block only the endless feed on Reddit, YouTube, X and Facebook. Search, profiles, individual posts and videos keep working, so the useful half of each site stays usable. FOCUS MODE Start a focus session built from work stretches and breaks (Sprinter, Default or Deep Work). While it runs, distracting sites are blocked and YouTube is limited to deliberate search: you type what you want to watch, pick one video, and watch it with no recommendations, no end-screen grid and no autoplay bait. YOUTUBE ON YOUR TERMS Whitelist Mode limits YouTube to the playlists you chose. Recommendations stay hidden on every video you are allowed to watch. COMMITMENT LOCK A timed session you cannot switch off early — for when you know you will try to talk yourself out of it. 18+ PROTECTION Blocks adult sites. Getting past a block means sitting through a short think-twice animation. There are 14 of them, and each attempt in the same day is longer than the last. PRIVATE BY DESIGN No account, no server, no analytics. Your blocked sites, focus sessions and history stay in your browser.
