AegisRT Shield is a local-first AI privacy extension that helps identify and mask sensitive information before prompts are submitted to AI assistants such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Microsoft Copilot and Perplexity. Designed for professionals, businesses, legal practitioners, consultants, researchers and everyday users, AegisRT Shield provides an additional privacy layer when working with generative AI. Key Features: Automatic Detection of Common Sensitive Information: AegisRT Shield can help identify commonly recognised sensitive information, including: Names Email addresses Phone numbers Financial amounts Company names ID references Custom Protected Terms: Create your own list of protected terms, such as: Project names Client names Deal names Fund names Internal codenames Other confidential business terms Once added to your protected terms list, these terms are automatically masked before supported AI prompts are submitted. Local-First Privacy: Privacy protection is performed locally within your browser. Prompts, protected terms, mappings and files are not transmitted to AegisRT servers as part of the masking process. Verification Tools: Review detected and protected information before prompts are submitted, helping you maintain greater visibility over what is being protected.
