Stay productive without constantly switching tabs. SideTask is a collapsible productivity sidebar that keeps your tasks, notes, calendar events, and optional AI tools available while you browse. Open it when you need it, hide it when you do not, and access the same information across your browser tabs. TASK TRACKING • Create tasks quickly from the sidebar • Add optional due dates and notes • Link tasks to webpages for easy reference • Search and sort your task list • Organize tasks by overdue, today, upcoming, or no due date • Move finished work into an expandable completed-tasks section GOOGLE CALENDAR • Connect your Google Calendar securely through Google OAuth • View events using Today, Tomorrow, and Week views • See event times, titles, and locations • Click an event to open it in Google Calendar • SideTask requests read-only access and cannot create, edit, or delete Calendar events STICKY NOTEPAD Keep a general-purpose notepad beside your browser. Paste links, phone numbers, copied text, reminders, drafts, or anything else you want to keep handy. Your notes save automatically and remain available across tabs. OPTIONAL AI TOOLS Connect your own OpenAI API key to: • Ask questions directly from the sidebar • Plan your day around your task list • Turn notepad content into tasks • Summarize the current webpage • Extract actionable tasks from a webpage • Rewrite text using Polish, Elaborate, Professional, Casual, or Shorten options • Generate downloadable images from a written prompt CUSTOMIZE YOUR WORKSPACE Choose light, dark, or system theme settings, select a custom accent color or hex code, adjust the sidebar width and position, and customize text size, spacing, and corner style. PRIVACY AND CONTROL Tasks, notes, preferences, and API settings are stored locally in your Chrome profile. SideTask does not sell user data. Page content is processed only when you deliberately use a page-based AI feature. Google Calendar access can be disconnected at any time. AI features are optional and require a separately billed OpenAI API account and user-provided API key. OpenAI API usage is not included with a ChatGPT subscription.
