Advanced Tab Manager brings order to a browser with hundreds of open tabs — without ever reading, injecting into, or transmitting a single page. SEARCH & FILTER • Real-time search by title or URL across every window • Filter by audible, pinned, or duplicate tabs • Three view modes: List, Compact, and a favicon Grid DUPLICATE DETECTION • Duplicates matched on fragment-normalized URLs • Live duplicate counter, plus one-click "close duplicates" that keeps the most recently used copy WINDOW BALANCING Redistributes tabs so every window sits between a minimum and maximum count. It moves whole units — a tab group, or all tabs sharing a base domain — never random individual tabs, and never splits a window's dominant domain. Tab group titles and colours survive the move. Pinned tabs are never touched. SMART GROUPING • Group by domain (mail.google.com and docs.google.com both land in google.com) • Smart grouping clusters whatever is left by title similarity • Group colours derive deterministically from the label, so a domain keeps its colour • Ungroup all dissolves every group in every window SESSIONS Save every window with its tabs and restore pinned state, tab groups (title and colour), and window geometry. MEDIA CONTROLS Find every tab playing audio, mute or unmute it, jump straight to it. Implemented entirely through the tabs API — no content scripts. BULK BOOKMARKING Bookmark all tabs, your selection, or a whole window into a new folder. SIDE PANEL A persistent side panel (Ctrl+Shift+E / Cmd+Shift+E) grouped by window or by domain, with dark mode synced to the popup. PRIVACY No host permissions. No content scripts. No analytics. No network requests of any kind. Favicons are read from Chrome's own local cache. Your sessions stay in local storage on your device. Requires Chrome 114 or later.
