AdShy – Smart AI Ad Blocker
Overview
Block ads. Enjoy the web. Hides ads with on-device rules and optional AI checks; learns from your "ad / not an ad" marks.
AdShy has one job: it finds advertising blocks on the web pages you visit and hides them. Block ads. Enjoy the web. HOW IT WORKS • On your device: blocks marked with an ad label ("Advertisement", "Sponsored", "Ad" and equivalents in several languages) and known advertising slots are recognised and hidden in your browser, without contacting any server. • AI check (only after you accept on first run): when a block looks like an ad but has no clear label, a short cleaned excerpt is checked by an AI language model, reached through the AdShy server and OpenRouter. The server returns only a verdict. • You stay in control: confident ads are hidden quietly. The toolbar icon shows how many blocks were hidden on the page; open it and press "Show hidden ads" to outline them and get "Hide again" and "Not an ad" buttons. You can hide a missed ad with right-click → "AdShy: hide as ad". Your decisions are remembered in your browser. WHAT IS SENT (only after you accept the consent screen; nothing is sent before) • The site address of the page where a suspected ad was found (domain/origin only, e.g. https://example.com — no path, query or title). This reveals which sites show suspected ads. • For each suspected ad block: a cleaned text excerpt of up to 600 characters (this can include the image's alt/title text; links reduced to domain names; e-mail addresses and long numbers masked — names and addresses are NOT masked), the link domain, element type and ad signals. • A random installation ID used for registration and the daily limit. • Not sent: page HTML, cookies, form contents, passwords, full URLs, page titles. • Processors: the AdShy server, OpenRouter, and the provider of the AI model. • Known banks and other financial sites, payment checkouts, health/patient portals, webmail and messengers, and sign-in pages are skipped. This list is best effort and cannot cover every site; you can exclude any site in the popup. • No analytics, no trackers, no ads, no sale of data. Details: https://adshy.asistbot.ru/privacy LIMITS AND SCOPE • Free: up to 200 AI checks per day (UTC). Explicit labels, your own rules and cached answers do not count; failed checks are refunded. When the limit is reached or the server is unavailable, local detection keeps working and unrecognised content stays visible. • AdShy visually hides page elements. It does not block network requests, pop-up windows or notifications, and it is not a replacement for a network-level blocker. AdShy is in beta. Operator: Vyacheslav Rodkin, individual developer.
