AdsDim marks ads on your x.com (Twitter) timeline — it never hides, deletes, or reorders a single post. Your feed stays complete: genuine posts shine brighter while ads quietly recede. Mark, never hide Every post stays in your timeline. Ads get a small "Ad", "Sponsored", or "Possible" pill and visually recede — hover any dimmed post to restore it to full visibility instantly. Zero layout shift: the timeline never jumps, and AdsDim is safe with X's virtualized scrolling. Two-tier detection, fully local Hard ads: X's own promoted/ad badge, recognized across 12 display languages. Possible ads: conservative heuristics for undisclosed promotions — #ad-style hashtags, discount codes, affiliate links, contact-to-buy and giveaway patterns. Each "Possible" mark comes with a why-tooltip explaining exactly which signal triggered it, so you can judge for yourself. Three looks, two contrast levels Glass Focus (default): genuine posts float as frosted-glass cards while ads recede, desaturated. Glow Lane: genuine posts earn a gradient ring and a soft left glow; ads fade toward gray. Theater: ads dim like house lights going down; genuine posts stay at full brightness. Each scheme offers Normal and Strong contrast, and follows X's dark/light theme automatically. Private by design Zero network calls: all detection runs locally in your browser. Nothing is collected, uploaded, or tracked — no analytics, no telemetry. Your settings are saved only in Chrome's extension sync storage. Open source under Apache-2.0.
