ADRODUB speaks a live translation over any audio and video playing in Chrome. Not subtitles you have to read: an actual voice, over the top of the original, the way interpretation sounds on television. Watch foreign news, university lectures, live streams, podcasts, interviews, sports commentary or a recorded call, and hear it in your own language. HOW IT WORKS 1. Install ADRODUB and open any audio or video that is playing. 2. Paste a free Google Gemini API key. Any Google account can create one at aistudio.google.com/apikey. It is stored on your own computer. 3. Choose a language and press Start. The original audio drops to about a quarter and the translated voice plays over it. You can move that balance while it is playing. TWELVE LANGUAGES, BOTH DIRECTIONS Persian, Arabic, English, Urdu, Hindi, Turkish, French, German, Spanish, Russian, Chinese and Japanese. TWO SPEAKERS GET TWO VOICES In a podcast with two hosts, ADRODUB listens to the pitch of whoever is speaking and gives them their own voice, so a conversation does not sound like one narrator reading both parts. It happens on its own; there is nothing to set up. WHY IT IS FREE It runs on a Google API key that you create and hold. Your audio goes from your browser straight to Google and the translated voice comes back. It never passes through our servers, so there is nothing for us to charge you for and nothing for us to store. WHAT WE ASK FOR You get a minute of dubbing straight away. After that we ask for your name and email once, and then it keeps working. We use the address to tell you when new languages and features land. That is the only thing we collect, and the audio you dub is never part of it. HONEST ABOUT THE LIMITS - The voice runs about one to two seconds behind the speaker. Every interpreter, human or machine, has to hear a phrase before saying it. - Speakers are separated by pitch, not by gender, so two voices in a similar register will share one voice. - Machine translation makes mistakes. Do not rely on it where accuracy matters, such as medical, legal or official settings. - Heavy daily use can reach the limits of Google's free tier.
