Overview
Fetch Adobe Analytics pageviews for the active pageName using OAuth Web App (user-provided client secret).
Adobe Analytics PageView Helper enables Web Analysts, Developers, Marketing teams, and Adobe Analytics users to instantly view today’s and yesterday’s Page Views directly on any webpage — without opening Adobe Analytics dashboards or switching tabs. This extension overlays a small draggable floating widget on the current webpage. It intelligently detects the page identifier using values like page URL, s.pageName, and document.title. These values are matched against the "Page" dimension in Adobe Analytics, and the Page View count is displayed in real time for quick analysis. HOW IT WORKS: 1. The user creates OAuth credentials in the Adobe Developer Console. 2. Inside the extension’s Options page, the user enters: a. Client ID b. Client Secret c. Org ID d. Custom password (used to secure local token storage) 3. After authentication, the user selects: a. Company ID b. Report Suite ID 4. When browsing any webpage, the extension fetches Page View data via Adobe’s Reporting API and displays: a. Today’s Page Views b. Yesterday’s Page Views The widget is fully draggable, and once moved, the extension remembers the last position for a personalized experience. SECURITY & PRIVACY: 1. OAuth tokens are encrypted and stored locally, protected using the user’s custom password. 2. No data is sent to any external server other than Adobe’s official APIs. 3. The extension does not collect, track, or share personal information. WHY USE THIS EXTENSION? 1. Instantly check Page Views without logging into Adobe Analytics 2. Perfect for QA, debugging, and validating analytics implementations 3. Saves time for Analysts, Developers, and Business teams 4. Secure and private — all data stays on the user’s machine 5. Future enhancements planned based on community interest CUSTOM PAGE NAME LOGIC If your website exposes page identifiers using custom JavaScript variables or non-standard Adobe Analytics implementations, simply leave feedback or submit a comment.
