Rename ACM DL PDF downloads based on paper metadata.
adl-utils is a Chrome Extension that helps you rename downloaded PDF files from the ACM Digital Library using rich metadata like title, authors, and publication year. 🧩 Features Adds a toolbar button to trigger renaming Retrieves paper metadata from the referring ACM DOI page Automatically generates a meaningful filename Custom filename template using variables like: ${title}, ${firstAuthor}, ${authors}, ${publishedYear}, ${updatedYear}, ${version}, ${paperid} ⚙️ How to Use Open any ACM paper's PDF page (e.g., https://dl.acm.org/doi/pdf/...) Click the extension icon in your Chrome toolbar The PDF will be downloaded with a customized filename 🛠️ Customization Go to Extension Options to set your own filename format using placeholders. Example: ${title}, ${firstAuthor} et al., ${publishedYear}.pdf 🔒 Privacy No data is collected or sent to any server. All processing is done locally in your browser.
