DD Price Tracker shows you what a car was priced at before today, right on the listing: on DoneDeal.ie, Used Cars NI and Auto Trader UK. It answers the questions you already ask on every ad: what is this car actually worth, is the asking price fair, has the seller dropped it before, and how long has it really been sitting there? When you open an ad, a panel appears under the price with every price change DD Price Tracker has seen, the date the ad was first published (not the "bumped" date), the low and high, and how the asking price compares with the median of similar cars currently listed in Ireland. On search results, small badges flag price drops ("↓ €1,500"), rises, and ads that have been sitting for weeks ("Listed 34d"). On a sterling ad the price stays in pounds and the panel adds the euro figure at Revenue's own monthly customs rate, so a month of exchange-rate movement never reads as a price cut. Any car that owes VRT gets a one-click link that opens our free VRT calculator with the make, model, year, fuel, mileage and CO2 already filled in. Importing from Japan? On Goo-net Exchange, BE FORWARD, SBT Japan, TCV and Car From Japan the extension draws a read-only panel: the yen or dollar price in euro, what the same make, model and year is asking in Ireland, and what Revenue will want on arrival (duty, VAT, VRT and the NOx levy). It records nothing whatsoever on those five sites. Press "Watch price" on any ad to keep it in your list, stored on your own device.
