ADHD Reader
Overview
A fixation-style reading aid for ADHD readers and speed readers, with adjustable word emphasis.
Do your eyes slide off the page? Mine did. ADHD Reader bolds the opening letters of every word, giving your eyes a fixed point to land on. Instead of rereading the same paragraph three times, the line just... sticks. It's a trick borrowed from fixation reading, and it works remarkably well for restless brains. No setup, no account, no dashboard. It quietly works on the pages you visit, and when you want to tune it, the popup is right there: - Light / Balanced / Strong presets. Start here, tweak later. - Emphasis ratio, weight, and how faint the rest of the text should be. - A live sentence preview. Drag a slider, watch it change. - Alt+Shift+R flips it off for any site that misbehaves. It skips code blocks, input fields, and anything editable, and it never modifies your content. Turn it off and the page returns to exactly how it was. PDFs: an optional clean, text-only reading view, processed entirely on your machine. Nothing is uploaded anywhere. There is no server to upload to. Google Docs: a floating Focus Reader panel formats text you select or paste, since Docs renders text to canvas and can't be restyled in place. Privacy: no analytics, no tracking, no accounts, no network calls of our own. Your settings live in your browser sync and nowhere else. Made by one developer who used to read the same sentence four times. I hope it helps you read it once.
