AdFree does not log your browsing history, does not build a profile of you and sells nothing. It inspects pages locally to hide leftover ad boxes, but nothing about those pages is sent anywhere. Nothing is sent in the background. Only two things ever leave your browser, and both are your choice: the address of a page you send with "Report an ad on this page", and — if you uninstall AdFree — your answer on the optional feedback page that opens afterwards.
