Adam's Campus Toolbox Connector

Sync society members and fill Students' Union UCL forms from Adam's Campus Toolbox. Not affiliated with UCL or Students' Union UCL.

Adam's Campus Toolbox helps UCL club and society committees manage their work. This add-on can read the signed-in officer's Students' Union UCL session cookie and their society's members page, which ordinary web pages cannot access. It sends the cookie to the Toolbox for secure storage and sends the society's roster containing names, member types, membership types and date ranges. It never reads or sends the over-18 column. Sync now: the officer presses Sync now for a society; the add-on sends the SU login, sends the roster to the Toolbox, and keeps a copy of the members list in this browser's extension storage so the officer can view and export it (CSV, JSON or Google Sheets) without reading the SU site again. That copy never leaves the browser unless the officer downloads or copies it, and it is deleted when the browser is disconnected. Auto sync is off by default and chosen per society, in the add-on's popup or on the Toolbox's Connector page: - Local (opt-in background roster sync): while the browser is open, the add-on reads the society's members page as the officer and sends the roster to the Toolbox on browser startup, once a day, and when the SU login cookie changes — at most once an hour. The SU login cookie is not sent in this mode; only the roster leaves the browser, to the Toolbox. - Remote (opt-in automatic cookie refresh): after an in-add-on confirmation, the add-on sends the SU login cookie to the Toolbox on browser startup, when the SU cookie changes and once daily, so the Toolbox's scheduled job can fetch the roster overnight with the browser closed. This uses a separate, revocable, 90-day credential restricted to that society's session update, and it stops if the SU account changes or access is revoked. It cannot renew an expired SU login: the officer must sign in again to the SU site. Either can be switched off at any time from the popup or the Toolbox. Filling SU forms: from a receipt in the Toolbox, a treasurer can ask the add-on to open the Students' Union payment request form in a separate window and fill it in — society name, payee name and contact details, the payee's bank sort code and account number, expense type, amount and the receipt image. It never presses Submit: the treasurer checks the form and submits it themselves. The bank details come from the Toolbox, are typed into that one form and are not stored by the add-on. SU identity: when connected, the add-on tells the Toolbox which Students' Union account this browser is signed in as — the numeric SU user id only, read from where studentsunionucl.org/user redirects — so the account holder can recognise their own install. The cookie is not part of this. Admin fetch (Toolbox administrators only, off by default): a Toolbox global administrator can mark one of their own installs as the admin-fetch install. Only that install then checks every 30 minutes for a task, and each task names a kind, never a web address: the add-on maps the kind to a fixed studentsunionucl.org page built into the add-on (today one page, the SU room-booking information page), opens it with the administrator's own SU login, and sends back only the Google Sheets link found on it. It never sends the page itself or the SU cookie. The add-on communicates only with studentsunionucl.org and adamscampustoolbox.org.uk. It has no analytics, advertising or remote code.
