AD Sniper - Ad Blocker, Pop-up Blocker & Element Remover
1 rating
)Overview
Block ads and pop-ups, then click any annoying element to remove it for good. Cookie banners, sticky bars, overlays: gone.
Point. Click. Gone. AD Sniper & Pop-up Nuker puts you back in charge of the page. Aim a crosshair at any ad, banner, pop-up or annoying box and blast it off the page. It stays gone next time you visit. 🎯 SNIPE Turn on Snipe and your cursor becomes a crosshair. Hover to highlight, click to remove. Ads, cookie nags, "you might also like" boxes, sidebars, anything. What you remove is remembered for that site, so it doesn't come back on your next visit. ☢️ NUKE One button clears out the worst offenders: • Pop-up and pop-under windows are blocked • Full-screen overlays and "Wait! Before you go" boxes are removed • Sticky bars and floating video ads are cleared • Links that try to open new tabs open in the same tab instead Nuke stays on for that site until you turn it off. Want to keep the site's own top menu? Turn on "Nuke keeps site header" in Settings. 🚫 AUTO BLOCK ADS (beta) Blocks requests to well-known ad and tracking networks and hides common ad slots, on every site. If a site you want to support breaks or you'd rather see its ads, tick "Allow ads on this site". ↩️ UNDO AND RESET Removed the wrong thing? Undo brings back the last item. Reset restores everything on the site and reloads the page. 🔫 PICK YOUR WEAPON Sniper, pistol, shotgun, SMG, laser or RPG: choose your kill sound in Settings, or mute it with the speaker button. ⌨️ SHORTCUTS • Ctrl+Shift+K: toggle Snipe mode • Escape: stop sniping • Alt+Shift+R: emergency reset You can change these at chrome://extensions/shortcuts. 🔒 PRIVATE • No account, no tracking, no analytics • Everything you remove and every setting is stored locally in your browser • Pop-ups for signing in and paying are always allowed through, so logins and checkouts keep working WHY IT NEEDS ACCESS TO ALL SITES The extension has to run on the pages you visit so it can remove what you point at, stop pop-ups and hide ads. It doesn't read or collect your browsing. GOOD TO KNOW • Nuke is deliberately aggressive. If a site misbehaves, turn Nuke off for that site or use Undo/Reset. • Items inside some web components can be removed for the current page view, but can't be remembered for next time. • Chrome's own pages (chrome://, the Chrome Web Store) don't allow extensions to run on them.
