Ad Cleaner makes browsing quieter. It removes YouTube video ads, hides sponsored and promoted thumbnails, and cleans the Shorts feed. Open a video and it just plays — no pre-roll, no mid-roll, no fast-forward, no countdown. What it does on YouTube The extension hooks into YouTube's player before any ad request goes out, so most ads never load in the first place. The few that slip through on certain experiments are skipped automatically. Sponsored video tiles on the home page, search results, and sidebar are removed. The masthead banner ad is removed. Shorts ads and promoted Shorts are removed. Optional cleanup across the web A second toggle in the popup, off by default, removes the most common ad containers and sponsored content boxes on every site you visit. This is purely cosmetic filtering and does not change how pages load. Turn it on when you want a quieter web; turn it off when you visit a site that depends on its ad layout. A simple popup Two toggles, two counters showing ads blocked on the current tab and over all time, and a status line. That's it. No accounts, no sign-in. Privacy No tracking. No analytics. No data collection. No external servers. Everything runs locally in your browser. Note: A small number of websites display an "Oops" or anti-adblocker page when they detect that ads aren't loading. If a site you care about breaks, simply switch the "Block ads on all sites" toggle off while you're using it. YouTube blocking will keep working regardless.
