Overview

Blockify is a Spotify Ad Blocker that blocks & removes audio ads from Spotify using Spotify adblock technology.

Blockify is a Spotify ad blocker for Chrome that helps block supported audio ads, companion banners, and ad-related clutter on the Spotify Web Player. Install Blockify, open the Web Player, and refresh the tab. Filtering starts automatically, with no account, payment details, or manual filter setup required. Blockify is currently free to install. Blockify has one clear purpose: browser-level ad and tracker filtering. It combines general web filtering with site-specific logic for media-heavy websites, helping handle audio, video, display, and tracking elements without changing your playlists, queue, liked songs, or saved content. Ad Blocking for the Spotify Web Player Use Blockify with the browser-based Spotify Web Player in Chrome or a compatible Chromium-based desktop browser. The extension works inside your browser. It does not modify or operate inside Spotify’s standalone desktop or mobile apps. Audio-ad filtering Blockify filters supported ad requests and ad-related playback triggers while you listen through the Spotify Web Player. Visual cleanup It removes supported banners, companion ads, overlays, pop-ups, and empty ad containers. Automatic operation Blockify activates on supported pages without requiring a configuration wizard or complicated setup. Per-site control Pause blocking or allow ads on individual websites without disabling Blockify everywhere. Ad Blocking Across Streaming Platforms and the Web Blockify applies the same core function across supported websites: identifying and filtering browser-delivered ads and tracking elements. On media platforms, this may include audio or video interruptions. On ordinary websites, it may include banners, pop-ups, overlays, advertising pixels, tracking scripts, and other intrusive page elements. Blockify can also work as a YouTube ad blocker and Twitch ad blocker on supported browser pages, helping reduce pre-roll ads, mid-roll interruptions, overlays, and tracking clutter. Ad-blocking support can temporarily change when a streaming platform updates its website or ad-delivery system. How Blockify Works 1. Network filtering Filtering rules identify and block supported requests to advertising and tracking endpoints. 2. Site-specific filtering Browser scripts detect ad-related behavior on complex web players where ordinary blocklists may not be enough. 3. Page cleanup Cosmetic filtering removes supported placeholders and empty spaces left behind after an ad element is blocked. This multi-layer approach is designed to reduce interruptions while preserving the underlying page, media, account, and saved-content experience. Privacy, Permissions, and Control Chrome permissions to read and change data on websites are used for Blockify’s core purpose: inspecting page elements, identifying advertising or tracking behavior, and applying filtering rules. Most page inspection and filtering takes place locally in your browser wherever feasible. Blockify may process limited technical diagnostics and aggregated, de-identified usage information to maintain reliability, troubleshoot errors, and prioritize filter updates. Blockify does not sell personal information or use it for targeted advertising. You can pause, disable, or uninstall the extension at any time. How to Use Blockify 1. Install Blockify from the Chrome Web Store. 2. Open the Spotify Web Player in your browser. 3. Refresh the tab after installation. 4. Play music normally while Blockify runs in the background. For the best results, keep Chrome and Blockify updated and avoid running multiple overlapping content blockers. If a supported ad appears, confirm that Blockify is enabled for the website, refresh the page, and temporarily disable other blockers to check for conflicts. Important Limitations Blockify works inside supported browsers. It does not modify native desktop or mobile applications. No browser extension can guarantee permanent removal of every advertisement because websites frequently change how ads are delivered. Creator-read sponsorships embedded directly inside an audio or video file are part of the underlying content and cannot be removed through browser filtering. Content blocking can occasionally affect a website feature. Pause Blockify or allowlist the website if a page behaves unexpectedly. Independent Extension Notice Blockify is an independent browser extension. It is not owned by, affiliated with, authorized by, endorsed by, or sponsored by Spotify, YouTube, Twitch, or their respective owners. All product names and trademarks belong to their respective owners.
