Ad Blocker for Chrome

A straightforward ad blocker built on two real, community-maintained open-source blocklists — no invented rules, no bundled tracking of its own. **Network-level blocking** via Chrome's declarativeNetRequest engine: a static ruleset of 25,000 ad/tracker/malware domains sourced from the StevenBlack/hosts project (MIT licensed). Blocking is evaluated by Chrome itself against a bundled file — this extension never inspects your browsing traffic. **Cosmetic element hiding** for ad containers that survive network blocking, using ~6,000 domain-agnostic hide rules from EasyList (CC BY-SA 3.0), injected into every frame — including cross-origin iframes — so embedded ad slots get hidden too. **Live blocked-count badge** on the toolbar per page, plus a lifetime total in the popup. **Per-site allowlist** — turn ad blocking off for specific sites you trust without disabling the extension everywhere else. **Global on/off switch**, a right-click menu (allow this site / disable everywhere / settings), and a browser-level shortcut (Ctrl+Shift+B) to toggle the current site. Top-level navigation to a domain is never blocked — only embedded ads, trackers, and scripts. No account, no ads of its own, no analytics, no remote list fetching at runtime.
