Actora is a side-panel assistant that understands the page you're on and helps you get things done — without sending your browsing data to the cloud. Open Actora on any website, ask a question or describe a task, and get clear answers grounded in what you're actually viewing. When Actora proposes clicks, form fills, searches, or other steps, you review the full plan first. Nothing runs until you click **Run actions**. Chat with the current page - Summarize long articles, docs, and product pages - Pull out key details, dates, prices, and requirements - Ask follow-up questions in plain language Actora reads a compact snapshot of the active tab — title, visible text, and interactive elements — so answers stay relevant to what you're looking at. Take grounded, user-approved actions Describe what you want to accomplish and Actora builds a step-by-step action plan: - Click links and buttons - Fill text fields and text areas - Select dropdown options and checkboxes - Search, scroll, copy text, download files, and open or switch tabs Each step is shown before execution. Risky actions (send, submit, purchase, publish, download) are flagged so you can review carefully. Private by design Actora uses **Chrome's built-in Prompt API** (Gemini Nano) to run AI **on your device**. Your page context and requests are processed locally — not uploaded to a remote server for inference. Actora also refuses to fill password fields, payment details, security codes, and other sensitive inputs. Built for real websites - Per-tab conversations — switch tabs without losing context - Semantic target matching when controls move or labels change - Multi-step plans that continue across navigation - Works on most public websites (not on protected `chrome://` pages) Requirements - **Chrome 138+** on a supported desktop (macOS 13+, Windows 10/11, Linux, or Chromebook Plus) - On-device model availability (check `chrome://on-device-internals`) - Sufficient free disk space for Chrome's one-time model download (~22 GB recommended) - On some development builds, enable `chrome://flags/#prompt-api-for-gemini-nano` What Actora won't do Actora is a careful assistant, not an autopilot. It does not bypass CAPTCHAs, browser permission prompts, cross-origin iframe protections, or site security controls. Websites can change after a plan is generated, so some steps may stop if a target disappears. Install Actora, open the side panel, and start chatting with the page in front of you.
