At Active Globe we are dedicated to helping both adults and young people stay in shape and improve their health and well-being with our interactive fitness competition. Active Globe lets you turn your students’ physical activity into a fun and interactive travel experience that will get them motivated to accomplish their fitness goals. In modern times students have new risks to their health that result from a sedentary lifestyle. Once poor health habits set in at a young age they can be difficult to change in later years, and research has shown that disposition to illnesses such as Type 2 diabetes and other chronic illnesses are higher for sedentary young people. Active Globe seeks to improve the health of young people throughout the world by encouraging them to stay active with our interactive and competitive fitness program. The rewards of fitness are many, and when young people develop healthy fitness habits at an early age, those habits will serve them well throughout their entire lives. At Active Globe we are not just focused on fitness goals, we also want students to improve their understanding of geography and foreign countries. We highly encourage teachers to use our program as an instructional tool. Students can benefit from learning about new cities and regions of the world, and teachers can select regions of the world that they are currently studying to add a fun component to their geography lessons. Active Globe is easy to use; you simply sign you or your students up, pick a real world start point and destination, and start the competition! You can log your physical activity easily in the dashboard, and you and your students can easily view your distance accomplishments. Our program is easy to use for people of all ages, and our smartphone integration can be used to automatically track fitness progress. We connect schools all throughout the world with the same goal: to help students and adults stay active and fit and improve their knowledge and understanding of world geography and travel.
