ActiSignal

Sends only the active tab's host name (never addresses, titles or page content) to the ActiSignal Agent, if your company enabled it.

ActiSignal shows a company how its working time is spent across applications and websites — transparently and without reading what employees type, write or see. This extension is the browser part of the ActiSignal Agent. It is installed by your organization (the browser shows that it is managed by your organization) and works only when your company has turned on recording website domains in ActiSignal. What it does • Watches which tab is active in the focused browser window. • Takes only the host name of that tab, for example docs.github.com. • Hands the host name to the ActiSignal Agent installed on the same computer. The Agent counts the time only while the browser is in the foreground and the computer is in use, removes domains your company excluded and sends totals to your company's ActiSignal account. What it never does • No full addresses: no paths, search terms, query strings or fragments. • No page titles, page content, form fields, passwords, typed text, screenshots or cookies. • Nothing from private (Incognito / InPrivate) windows. • Nothing is sent to anyone else, nothing is stored in the browser, and nothing works without the ActiSignal Agent on the computer. Who sees the data Only your company's ActiSignal administrators, in reports. A domain used by fewer than three people is named only to administrators allowed to see individual activity.
