acrawl Bridge
Overview
Connects acrawl to your browser for AI-driven web automation
acrawl Bridge lets the acrawl CLI control your browser for AI-driven web automation. Instead of a headless browser that starts from scratch, acrawl works with your real browser — your logged-in sessions, cookies, saved passwords, and installed extensions all stay active. HOW IT WORKS 1. acrawl starts a local WebSocket server on your machine 2. This extension connects to it with a one-time auth token 3. acrawl sends commands (navigate, click, fill forms, take screenshots) 4. The extension executes them via Chrome DevTools Protocol and returns results All communication stays on localhost. No data leaves your machine. FEATURES • Full browser automation — navigate, click, scroll, fill forms, run JavaScript, take screenshots • Uses your real browser state — no re-logging into sites, no CAPTCHAs from fresh sessions • Token-based authentication — each session generates a unique 256-bit token • Auto-reconnect with exponential backoff — survives brief disconnections • Zero background activity when disconnected — no polling, no data collection REQUIREMENTS • acrawl CLI (https://github.com/Mingye-Lu/AgenticCrawler) • Run /extension in acrawl to start the bridge and get your auth token PRIVACY This extension communicates exclusively with a server on 127.0.0.1 (your own machine). It does not transmit any data to external servers. Page content is only accessed when acrawl sends a command. See the full privacy policy in the extension source.
