Overview

Load local subtitles over YouTube and Dailymotion with sync controls, appearance settings, shortcuts, and subtitle memory.

Bring your own subtitles to YouTube and Dailymotion with SubLoader. SubLoader is a lightweight Chrome extension that lets you load local subtitle files directly over supported videos, giving you more control over how subtitles look and stay in sync. Whether you have a subtitle file in another language, a corrected transcript, or custom captions for a video, SubLoader makes it easy to add them without uploading the file anywhere. Easy local subtitle loading Open a YouTube or Dailymotion video, launch SubLoader, choose your subtitle file, and start watching. Your subtitle file is processed locally in Chrome and is not uploaded by SubLoader. Supported formats • SRT • VTT • SBV • LRC • MPsub Fine-tune subtitle timing If the subtitles are slightly early or late, SubLoader gives you simple sync controls so you can adjust timing in seconds. Move subtitles earlier or later using convenient timing buttons, reset the delay instantly, or use keyboard shortcuts while watching. Customize how subtitles look Adjust subtitle appearance to suit different videos, displays, and viewing preferences. Available controls include: • Font size • Vertical position • Background level • Text outline • Text color • Bold text Designed for convenient viewing SubLoader keeps the controls simple and accessible so you can spend less time configuring subtitles and more time watching. Per-video subtitle memory also helps preserve subtitle information for supported videos, making it easier to return to something you were already watching. Privacy-focused Your subtitle files stay on your device. SubLoader processes them locally in Chrome and does not upload subtitle files to a remote server. How to use SubLoader 1. Open a video on YouTube or Dailymotion. 2. Click the SubLoader extension icon. 3. Select Load Subtitle File. 4. Choose a supported subtitle file from your computer. 5. Adjust synchronization or appearance if needed. SubLoader is free to use and built around a simple goal: making it easier to watch supported videos with the subtitle files you already have. If SubLoader is useful to you, optional support is available through the support link inside the extension and helps continued development and improvements.
