Overview

Reads eClinicalWorks browser session context and integrates with OrciCare Provider Services and AIChart.

AccuChart for eClinicalWorks brings OrciCare charting, dictation, and AI-assisted coding into your ECW workflow—without leaving the patient chart. AccuChart reads patient context from your open eClinicalWorks session (appointment, patient hub, progress note, and related screens) and connects it to OrciCare Provider Services and AIChart. Clinicians and scribes can review dictations, upload new audio, view pre-charting details, and see AI-recommended diagnosis and procedure codes alongside the active patient. Who it’s for AccuChart is built for OrciCare customers who use eClinicalWorks (ECW) in the browser. Sign in with your OrciCare credentials, select your practice, and work from the Chrome side panel or an in-page overlay while ECW stays open. Key features Automatic ECW context Detects the active patient from ECW (account number, name, date of service, provider, and visit context) Updates as you move between appointments, charts, and encounter screens Chart View recent patient dictations from OrciCare Play dictation audio in the panel Upload dictation directly from ECW (record audio or attach a file) Pre-fills practice, provider, date of service, and template from the current visit when available AI-recommended diagnosis and procedure codes from AIChart Pre-Charting Load pre-chart visit details for the active patient from Provider Services Care Gaps Sample quality care-gap view for the active patient (demo content) Flexible display Chrome side panel or overlay on the ECW page (configurable in Settings) Secure sign-in Authenticates via OrciCare Provider Services (/auth/doLogin) Supports users with access to multiple practices (practice picker) How it works Install AccuChart and open Settings to confirm Provider Services and AIChart URLs (defaults are provided for OrciCare production). Sign in with your OrciCare email and password. Select your practice if prompted. Open a patient in ECW—AccuChart syncs context automatically. Use the side panel or overlay to chart, dictate, and review AI coding suggestions. Requirements An active OrciCare account with access to Provider Services and AIChart eClinicalWorks accessed in Google Chrome Permission to use the OrciCare APIs for your organization’s practice(s) Privacy & data AccuChart runs only on ECW and OrciCare domains you authorize. Patient context is read from your current ECW browser session to query OrciCare on your behalf. Credentials and session tokens are stored locally in Chrome extension storage. AccuChart does not replace ECW—it augments your OrciCare workflow alongside it. Permissions Host access to ECW and OrciCare endpoints is required to read session context, call Provider Services and AIChart APIs, and show the in-page overlay. Microphone access is used only when you choose Record Audio in the Upload Dictation dialog. Support For access issues, practice setup, or API configuration, contact your OrciCare administrator or support team.
