Overview

Run quick accessibility checks: contrast, images, focus order, landmarks, links, headings and visual rendering simulations.

AccessiWeb - Accessibility Inspector is a Chrome extension designed for developers, web designers, UX/UI designers, digital agencies, content managers, and professionals who want to run quick accessibility checks directly on the web page they are visiting. The extension opens a free-floating panel, not fixed to the browser toolbar, and lets you inspect key accessibility aspects of the current page: page structure, alternative text for images, color contrast, focus order, links, headings, landmarks, ARIA issues, and visual rendering simulations. It does not replace a complete professional WCAG audit, but it provides a practical first-level inspection tool to identify common issues, improve code quality, and support the daily workflow of anyone designing, developing, or managing websites and digital platforms. What You Can Do With AccessiWeb - Accessibility Inspector, you can quickly check the current page for issues such as: missing page title; missing document language; missing meta viewport; images without alt attributes; links without accessible names; buttons without accessible names; form fields without labels; incorrect heading hierarchy; missing main landmark; autofocus usage; duplicate IDs; invalid ARIA references; focusable elements hidden from assistive technologies; invalid ARIA roles; iframes without titles; tables without headers; videos without captions or subtitles; missing skip link to the main content. Contrast Checking The Contrast section analyzes detected text/background color pairs and checks their contrast ratio against WCAG criteria. It displays the page color palette, the numerical contrast ratio, and Pass AA or Fail AA results, with filters to quickly review compliant or problematic color combinations. This helps identify low-readable text, risky color choices, and interface areas that may create barriers for people with low vision, color blindness, or other visual conditions. ALT Text and Image Analysis AccessiWeb - Accessibility Inspector analyzes visible images on the page and groups them by images with alt, images without alt, and decorative images. The ALT text section also displays image thumbnails, paths, dimensions, and the alternative text status. This helps you check not only whether the alt attribute exists, but also whether the alternative text makes sense in relation to the image purpose. Good alternative text should not simply repeat a file name. It should help users understand the meaning, context, and function of the non-text content. Focus Order and Keyboard Navigation The Focus section lists focusable elements and can visually highlight their order directly on the page. This is useful for checking whether keyboard navigation follows a logical, predictable sequence aligned with the visual and semantic structure of the page. A correct focus order is essential for people who navigate without a mouse, use assistive technologies, or interact with a website through the keyboard. Structure, Landmarks, Headings, and Links The extension includes dedicated sections for analyzing: main landmarks such as header, navigation, main, search, footer, and regions; H1-H6 headings and their hierarchy; internal links, external links, unnamed links, links with title, and links without title. These checks help verify whether the page is semantically well organized, whether content is easy to navigate, and whether links are understandable even out of context. Visual Rendering Simulations The Rendering section allows you to quickly apply visual simulations to the current page, including: grayscale; protanopia; deuteranopia; tritanopia; blur; high contrast; low contrast; high saturation; reduced saturation. These simulations help reveal interfaces that rely too heavily on color, contrast, or visual sharpness. They are a useful quick support for inclusive design and user experience review. Why Install It AccessiWeb - Accessibility Inspector brings accessibility checks into your everyday workflow. You do not need to copy URLs into external tools or interrupt development: open a page, launch the extension, and start reviewing the most important accessibility aspects immediately. It is especially useful for: frontend developers who want to catch issues before release; web designers and UX designers reviewing readability, contrast, and structure; digital agencies managing many websites; content managers publishing images, links, and editorial content; marketing and communication teams improving the accessible quality of digital touchpoints; companies and organizations starting an accessibility compliance journey. The extension helps you work better, reduce recurring errors, and build greater accessibility awareness during design, development, and maintenance. Digital Accessibility, WCAG, and EAA Digital accessibility is increasingly important for websites, ecommerce platforms, digital services, and applications. WCAG is the international technical reference for creating more accessible digital content, while the European regulatory framework, including the European Accessibility Act, requires growing attention to the compliance of digital services. AccessiWeb - Accessibility Inspector was created to support this journey with a practical, immediate, and professional tool. For complete audits, remediation, specialist consulting, training, technical support, and Accessibility Statement preparation, you can work with AccessiWeb professionals.
