Overview

See public accessibility clues from included sources in Google and Bing results, and report barriers from the page you're using.

Accesserty Signal helps you read public accessibility clues before opening a Google or Bing result. It shows matches from its included sources: certification, recognition, award or badge records, known accessibility statements, and Accesserty ALLY maintenance signals. If you encounter a barrier, you can report it from the page you are using. READ PUBLIC CLUES IN SEARCH RESULTS • Use search results on www.google.com, www.google.com.tw or www.bing.com. A small badge appears when Signal can match a result to information from its included sources. No particular search is guaranteed to show a match. • Expand a badge with the keyboard or a pointer. Public record details show the source and recorded address or scope, with region, date and level where provided. Follow the source link to read the original context. • The quick-filter shortlist groups matched results on the current search page so you can navigate to them. It is not a ranking of website quality and does not change search order. • The popup describes the current tab, not all its search results. Open a result's page first, then reopen Signal to inspect that page or report a barrier. The popup's manual help link opens usage instructions; no onboarding tab opens automatically. REPORT A BARRIER • Report accessibility or usability barriers on the current page without creating an account or needing a matching badge. Choose the issue types, check the URL and tick the consent statement before submitting to Accesserty. • Only a maintainer with current verified domain access can review reports associated with that verification. Submission does not guarantee that the website receives your report, responds or fixes the issue. For urgent or official help, use the website's own contact channel. WHAT TO EXPECT • Signal uses a limited set of sources. No badge does not establish whether a website has a public record or whether it is accessible; data availability can also affect what is shown. • A record is a public signal, not an accessibility audit or a guarantee that every page or task is accessible. A certification may cover only some pages or services. PRIVACY Signal downloads public indexes and matches them locally in the browser. It does not send search-result links or background browsing activity to Accesserty. Feedback reports send the selected issue types, current page URL, browser user agent, optional contact email, and public accessibility signal context for that page, such as ALLY, certification, or statement information, to Accesserty. The optional contact email is visible only to Accesserty and is not shared with website maintainers. Before a report is sent, the user must tick a consent statement, because a report can suggest how someone uses the web, for example with assistive technology. The form asks users not to include health details and explains how to have a report deleted. To limit repeated submissions, the server separately stores an IP-derived keyed identifier (HMAC), request counts and timestamps. The raw IP is not stored in these counter records; they are not shared with maintainers or used for advertising. Unsuccessful requests may still leave a counter without saving report content. Retention and infrastructure-log details: https://accesserty.com/en/privacy/#data-retention The main page URL shown and sent in the report form retains its origin (scheme, host and port where needed) and path, and excludes query parameters and fragments. This URL is one field, not the only data in a report. Public evidence links in the signal context may retain parameters that identify their source records. Signals are not an accessibility audit or a guarantee that every page or task is accessible. That report context can include multiple matching public records and their recorded scope URLs. Its snapshot is size-limited; omitted records are counted where retained, or the context is marked as omitted. It is sent only when you submit a report. Only maintainers with current verified domain access can review reports associated with that verification in Console. If a domain has not been verified, Accesserty may not be able to make the report available to the website owner or resolve it. Signal reports are not formal legal complaints or official support requests to the website owner. Learn more: https://accesserty.com/en/signal/ Privacy policy: https://accesserty.com/en/privacy/
