If you are looking to get the behaviour of other popular browsers with vertical tabs in the current chrome implementation, then you must try Tabs++. You can use pinned and grouped tabs instead of bookmarks to organise your workflow. Persistence: Any pinned tab or tab in a group that gets closed is instantly recreated at its original URL. Organization: Restored tabs return to their exact original position and group. Performance: Restored tabs are automatically hibernated. They consume zero RAM or CPU until you actually click on them.
