MuteSkip for YouTube

Quiet YouTube ads and use browser input to click an enabled native Skip button. 72-hour trial, then one-time purchase.

MuteSkip for YouTube helps you watch without sudden ad audio or repeated manual clicks. It controls only the YouTube video tab you are currently viewing. During an ad it mutes that tab's audio. It can also click YouTube's own Skip button when it becomes available. After the ad break it restores the previous tab mute setting. Video volume is not changed. Background tabs are not muted or skipped. MuteSkip requires Chrome's debugger permission to click YouTube's Skip button. Chrome requests this permission when you install the extension and displays a debugging notice during skip operations. Automatic skipping defaults to off until you enable its switch; muting has a separate switch. Both controls work only in the active YouTube tab of a focused, non-minimized Chrome window. Create an account with an email and password, confirm your email address, and log in. Your free 72-hour trial starts on your first verified login. No card is needed. You must be logged in to use either feature. After the trial, both features require a paid license. Buy a license in the MuteSkip popup and complete payment through Creem. Pro: US$7 one-time, including applicable tax. Your license for the current compatibility generation has no expiration date. You can keep using that generation for as long as it works with YouTube. This initial US$7 purchase includes six months of compatibility updates. If a YouTube change breaks MuteSkip during those six months, we will provide the necessary fix or a new compatibility generation at no extra charge, even if we release it after the six-month period. Optional later-generation upgrade: US$2 one-time, including applicable tax. After the initial six-month period, you can choose to buy a later compatibility generation when a new YouTube change requires one. A US$2 upgrade does not include another six months of free updates. If YouTube breaks that generation, another optional US$2 upgrade may be needed, even soon after you paid. If you do not upgrade, you keep the generations you already own and can use them while they still work. One US$2 payment activates the current generation, even if you skipped earlier generations. A fully refunded purchase alone does not qualify for the upgrade price. There is no subscription or automatic charge. YouTube can change its player at any time, including soon after you buy. A generation may stop working; updates cannot guarantee permanent compatibility. We offer a 14-day refund on purchases and paid upgrades. Any mandatory update, repair, cancellation, refund, or other consumer rights in your location still apply. Purchases and trials belong to your verified email account. There is no browser-profile activation limit. This extension does not remove or block ads and cannot skip ads for which YouTube has not enabled its Skip button. The browser input must actually end the ad for automatic skipping to work. Developed and maintained by Ninghao Wang. MuteSkip is not affiliated with Google or YouTube.
