Copy text from screenshots and images in 11 languages without uploading your content. SUPPORTED OCR LANGUAGES English, Arabic, Spanish, German, French, Brazilian Portuguese, Japanese, Korean, Simplified Chinese, Italian, and Polish. Choose the language used in the image. Recognition extracts text; it does not automatically translate it. HOW IT WORKS • Choose Text language in the popup, click Select Area, and drag over text on a regular web page. • Review and edit the recognized text in the result tab, then click Copy text. • You can also right-click an image or choose a local PNG, JPG, or WebP file. • Change Text language in the result tab to recognize the current image again. OFFLINE, ON YOUR DEVICE The OCR engine, worker, WebAssembly runtime, and all 11 language models are included in the extension. No extra model download is needed. Images, screenshots, and text stay on your device. No extension account, subscription, paid AI service, analytics, or cloud OCR is required. YOU CONTROL IMAGE ACCESS Reading a remote image asks for access only to its image host after a click. You can refuse or revoke access. Image requests omit cookies and referrers. Protected or redirected images may require Select Area or a local file instead. LIMITS Still PNG, JPG, and WebP up to 20 MB and 24 megapixels. Handwriting, low-resolution text, mixed languages, and complex layouts may need manual correction. Check the result before use. Chrome internal pages, the Chrome Web Store, and other protected pages cannot be captured. No scrolling full-page capture or batch OCR. PRIVACY The extension does not collect browsing history, save a processing history, or upload images or text. Temporary jobs may contain an image, selection rectangle, and selected language; they are removed after use or tab closure. Unopened jobs expire after five minutes and are cleaned on the next task or browser shutdown. An optional link opens TextImageMaker without sending your image or text.
