Dark Anchor Reader
Overview
Transform any page to dark mode with VSCode-style semantic grammar coloring for easier, more accessible reading.
Dark Anchor transforms any webpage into a focused, accessible reading environment built around two core ideas: reduce visual noise, and give your eyes something consistent to hold onto. Dark Mode Applies a clean dark background with high-contrast text. Brightness is fully adjustable from near-black to soft charcoal. Semantic Grammar Coloring Every word is classified and color-coded by its grammatical role, inspired by VSCode's syntax highlighting: 🔵 Determiners — the, a, my, this, their 🟣 Conjunctions — and, but, because, however 🩵 Prepositions — of, in, from, through 🩴 Linking verbs — is, was, can, become 🟡 Proper nouns — names, places, brands, acronyms 🟢 Numbers — numerals and ordinals 🟠 Adverbs — very, quickly, never, probably 🔴 Adjectives — big, cold, important, simple 🧡 Headers — h1–h6 highlighted in warm orange Dyslexia Assist Mode Toggle feature applying evidence-based text spacing, increased letter spacing, generous line height, and wider word spacing, without changing the font. Color-Only Sites Add any site to a whitelist to keep its original background while still applying grammar coloring. Perfect for sites that already have a dark theme. Zero data collection. Everything runs locally in your browser. No tracking, no analytics, no network requests.
