A11yPilot is the browser companion for the A11yPilot accessibility testing platform (https://a11ypilot.com). It bridges your browser and your A11yPilot workspace so you can identify, capture, and report accessibility issues on any website -- without leaving the page you're testing. KEY FEATURES Interactive Element Picker Hover over any element on any webpage to highlight it, then click to capture its HTML and CSS selector. The captured data is instantly sent to your A11yPilot project for issue creation -- no copy-pasting, no manual screenshots. Floating Action Button (FAB) Once signed in, a compact purple FAB appears in the bottom-right corner of every page. One click activates element-selection mode; another click cancels. It stays out of the way until you need it. Browse and Log with AI Start from the A11yPilot web app: choose a project URL, click "Browse and Log with AI," and a new tab opens the target site with a floating picker bar. Select the problematic element and the captured HTML is automatically returned to the issue form -- ready for AI-powered analysis. AI-Powered Issue Generation Selected elements are analyzed by A11yPilot's AI engine, which auto-generates the issue title, description, severity, WCAG success criterion, and remediation recommendation. Review the AI output, adjust if needed, and submit -- turning minutes of manual documentation into seconds. Seamless Authentication The extension automatically detects your A11yPilot login session. No separate credentials or tokens to manage. A real-time status indicator in the popup shows whether you're connected (green), checking (yellow), or signed out. Cross-Tab Communication The extension acts as a secure bridge between the A11yPilot web app and whatever website you're testing. Picked elements, authentication state, and navigation commands flow seamlessly across tabs. HOW IT WORKS Sign in to your A11yPilot account at https://a11ypilot.com -- the extension detects your session automatically. Navigate to any website you want to test. Click the purple FAB (or use "Browse and Log with AI" from the web app). Hover over elements to highlight them; click to capture. The captured HTML and selector are sent to your A11yPilot project. Use AI to generate a complete accessibility issue report, or fill in the details manually. The issue is saved to your project dashboard, complete with page URL, element data, and source attribution.
