Overview

Local-first accessibility audits, manual checks, design tools, and exportable reports.

A11yChecks is a local-first accessibility testing workspace for developers, designers, testers, and content teams. Scan an entire webpage or select a specific element to identify automated accessibility failures, passed checks, and items requiring human review. Each result includes its severity, relevant accessibility standards, affected HTML, element selector, remediation guidance, and an option to highlight the affected element directly on the webpage. Supported testing options include: • WCAG 2.2 Level A, AA, and AAA • Section 508 • EN 301 549 • IS 17802 mapping • GIGW 3.0 mapping • Accessibility best practices Guided manual tools help inspect headings, landmarks, keyboard order, forms, images, links, target sizes, language changes, grayscale presentation, and WCAG text spacing. Design tools include a WCAG color-contrast checker, accessible color combinations, webpage color and font analysis, and a CSS unit converter. Audit evidence can be exported as HTML, CSV, or JSON. Users can also download screenshots and review their most recent scan summaries. Privacy: Accessibility scans run locally in the browser. A11yChecks does not require an account and does not transmit webpage content, browsing information, audit results, or usage analytics to the developer or third parties. Scan summaries and preferences are stored only in the user’s local Chrome storage. Automated testing cannot guarantee accessibility conformance. A complete audit should also include keyboard, screen-reader, zoom, reflow, media, cognitive, and usability testing by qualified people.
