Tagfire Live Tag Debugger shows every analytics and marketing tag a page fires — live, in Chrome's side panel, right next to the page. Every dataLayer push and every beacon is decoded into plain language, linked to what caused it, and checked for the mistakes that quietly break reporting. Built for analysts, marketers and developers who live in GA4 and Google Tag Manager. WHAT YOU SEE • GTM / gtag pushes — every dataLayer.push() and gtag() call, with the pushed object and the full data model after it. Consent default/update calls are shown too. • GA4 events — batched hits split into one row per event, with an overview (measurement ID, client and session, consent state), event parameters, user properties and ecommerce items. Every parameter carries its description and the meaning of known values (e.g. gcs G111 = ads and analytics granted). • Google Ads, Floodlight (CM360 / DV360 / SA360), Meta Pixel and more — conversions and remarketing pings decoded the same way. • Server-side GTM and first-party endpoints — GA4 hits sent to your own domain are recognised by their payload, not just their hostname. HOW IT CONNECTS THE DOTS • Each push links to the GA4 beacon it triggered, and each beacon to the push behind it — click to jump between them. • Link your GTM container (found automatically from the page's GTM ID) and see which tags every push should fire, tags that never fired, dataLayer keys a tag needs but the push is missing, and each tag's configured parameters next to what was actually sent. • Compare to previous: parameters that are new or changed since the last event of the same name are marked, with the old value. CHECKS ON EVERY HIT Duplicate page_views, value sent without currency, purchases missing transaction_id or items, beacons blocked or rejected, hits sent with consent denied, Google Ads conversions without a label or with an order ID that doesn't match the GA4 purchase, GTM snippets outside <head>, dataLayer resets, and more. FREE AI HELPER Ask about the page load ("Is consent mode working?", "Which push triggered each GA4 event?") or click Explain on any check. It runs on Chrome's built-in on-device model when your computer supports it — nothing leaves your browser. If it can't, you can choose to use free Gemini through your Tagfire account, which sends a text summary of the captured hits; the panel asks before sending anything. MADE FOR SPEED Hits grouped per page load, search and filters on every tab, click any value to copy it, and keyboard shortcuts throughout (j/k to move, 1–4 for tabs, / to search, a for AI). PRIVACY The extension captures only the tab you are looking at in the side panel (or the tab you attach from the popup, or the tab a DevTools panel is open on). It has no telemetry and no ads. Captured data stays in your browser unless you use one of the two optional Tagfire features above — the cloud AI helper or GTM container linking — and both ask first.
