What is Tabulator AI? Tabulator AI is an advanced table generation platform powered by cutting-edge AI technology. Simply describe the type of table you need using natural language, such as, "I want a table of vegan recipes." Tabulator AI will then automatically create a table with the necessary columns and generate rows based on your description. What Can This Extension Do? Let’s take the example from our showcase video. Suppose you have a table in Tabulator AI called Recipe Parser with the following columns: - Raw Recipe: Unparsed text selected from any recipe website. - Recipe Name: The parsed name of the recipe. - Ingredients: Parsed ingredients from the recipe. - Steps: Parsed steps to prepare the recipe. - Tags: Parsed or generated tags based on the recipe. - Vegan Recipe: A true/false indicator of whether the recipe is vegan. As you can see, some columns parse information from the raw text, while others are generated based on content. Important: Your column name and description will be sent to the AI, so make sure they clearly describe what you want in this column. With the Tabulator AI Extension, you have three options for each table: - Enable: First, enable a table to make it available in your right-click menu. - Text Column: Specify the column where your selected text will be placed (required). - URL Column: Optionally, choose a column to store the current webpage URL. In our Recipe Parser example, the Text Column would be "Raw Recipe", and the URL Column can be left blank. Once everything is set up, you’re ready to go! Open any recipe website, select the recipe text, right-click, and send it to Tabulator AI. Tabulator AI automatically places your selected text in the Text Column and generates any missing columns using AI. Within seconds, a dialog box will display the generated content.
