Installation of this extension is required to set Norton as your Home Page and New Tab page in Chrome. The Norton Home Page includes Norton Safe Search, which help protect you from identity thieves and online scams by warning you of dangerous sites when you search, shop, or browse online. Norton Safe Search provides site safety ratings. These ratings indicate: If the site is trusted. If you should exercise additional caution; or If the site is known to be malicious, which should be avoided. You can control which sites the extension can access.” Shown for permissions needed for creation and management of tabs and information from the extension’s installation page. “Replace the page you see when opening a new tab.” Shown for permissions needed for changing the new tab and home page to Norton Safe Search.
