Overview
A lightweight & efficient extension of Chrome’s Download Manager.
Nice Downloads! makes downloading on Chrome pretty nice. It automatically shows and hides Chrome's download shelf when starting a new download, and notifies you when one completes. It also features a toolbar button that will popup the downloads screen, and the icon changes colour when you have active downloads. If a download is interrupted by Chrome, the shelf will remain open until you interact with it. This extension does not contain a persistent background process, and has minimal permissions! That's nice, isn't it?

almost perfect please let the user choose the duration of the notification upon completion your time is really too invasive(6-7 seconds)!!!

Does the job very nicely. I only would add changing the toolbar icon when the download is complete. Great job. Thanks.

A very nice, small extension for its function provided. Suggestions: -Option to have the download list open in a tab instead of a separate window. -Option to not display download notifications. -Option to set delay before the shelf is auto-closed. -Option to not display the shelf at all.
